Innsbruck becomes a royal seat. This changed the cityscape and city life. In 1420, Duke Frederick IV bought two town houses in the old town centre and moved the residence to Innsbruck. The royal court and the provincial administration moved in and left their mark on the city. The traces are still visible today.
The exhibition "On the move. Innsbruck Becomes a Residential City" was created in co-operation with the Tyrolean Provincial Archives.
